Rationale:

Recommendation for elections of employees in this Human Resources Report are in accordance with Board Regulation 2122, unless otherwise indicated, which outlines the functions of the Superintendent including the following:

 

  1. Approve and recommend to the Board of Education for employment, all personnel required for administration, supervision, teaching, clerical work, maintenance of buildings, custodial service or any other type of service that may be necessary for the operation of the Alhambra Unified School District.
  2. Authority for the assignment, transfer, and placement of all personnel, at their appropriate salary in accordance with current Board salary policies, regulations and actions. The requirements of the funds are two-fold.  The funds must be used to increase membership and to increase participation in Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) programs.

Rationale:

Staff recommends the Board of Education of Alhambra Unified School District approve the 2017-2020 Dashboard Alternative School Status (DASS) Eligibility Certification Form for Independence High School. 

Board approving the 2017-2020 Dashboard Alternative School Status (DASS) Eligibility Certification Form will allow Independence High School to be held accountable for modified methods of measurement for accountability indicators that will be incorporated into the California Dashboard.

Board approval will allow the list of Preliminary Career Technical Education Facilities Program (CTEFP) Grant Proposals to be submitted for eligibility in new construction projects, modernization, reconfiguration, and equipment purchase per industry sector at Alhambra, Mark Keppel, and San Gabriel High School.
